I order from Pinetree too. They are cheap and the seeds germinate as well as the more expensive packets but for a novice gardener, it may be better to look at one of the companies with copious info in the catalogs and on the packets. Johnny's Selected Seeds, for one www.johnnyseeds.com and Territorial Seed www.territorial-seed.com for another. Both have lots of organic seed varieties and heirloom or open pollinated seeds.
