what is, pretty much is.

someone i work with is being tremendously unreasonable about certain things and is inconsolable regarding what he thinks should be. rather than dealing with the situation at hand and working around or through certain things, he insists on simply reacting with anger toward anything anyone says and frames his words in terms of areas he has no control of.

i understand that you need to implement certain procedures, and that there are ways to make things more efficient.

but he doesn't understand that the guy who pays us pretty much does things the way he wants to. my friend doesn't understand that he cannot change this man. he doesn't understand that the way he would rather things operate will probably not come from the top down.

our boss has given us permission to implement solutions when they need to be implemented.

this is perplexing. more so since i have taken a more "hands-on" role in day-to-day operations. i cannot work through this guy.
