When the family silver tabby bites me for no apparent reason (bitch really sinks her teeth in -- she's drawn blood quite a few times), it's the former.

The latter is generally aimed at the family Persian, who refuses to shit in her litterbox. We usually just toss her into the backyard in the morning and bring her in late in the evening, so long as the weather's decent. Still doesn't always work, unfortunately.
