I really need some unbiased advise about family crap.

So, my dad's sister called and bitched out my mother because she lost some really old pictures of some of our ancestors. She apparently told her that when dad died they should have been returned to the family. Mom asked what the hell I was. She said I was just a niece of these people and why would I want them? She hasn't has anything to do with us since 2000 and my sister died. IT burned her ass when my mom told her her pedophile brother was not allowed to attend the funeral. He had tried to molest my sister when she was like 13 or 14. She hated him. Why would she have ever wanted him at her funeral. Not to mention the fact that my cousin whom he raped repeatedly when she was a child ruining her entire life was going to be there. She didn't need that the day her cousin who was more like a sister died. So, we haven't heard from these people since. Well, at least not until today when my mom called for my uncle who is visiting from California. She didn't have his cell number, so she called my aunt's house, where he's staying.
So, my question is, should I call and unload and blow up this bridge without prejudice or should I just leave it alone?
