7. I expressed my fear of addiction to the doctor at the pain clinic....
They're really strict about the meds. You have to give a urine sample every time you have an appointment, and if you have any pain meds left over, you have to give them to them. I told the doctor on a recent visit that I was a little worried about "going down a slippery slope" with the Percocet. He chuckled and said "most of my patients are taking about 40 mg. of Percocet". So I do feel a little better about it. That and the urine tests give me a safety net.
