31. This is INcorrect.
"The root cause of Arab-Muslim terrorism against the United States is our 100% support of Israel no matter what Israel does. It's not a policy based on our national interest, it's a policy based on the fear of politicians to upset the pro-Israel lobby."

The root cause is NOT simply US support of Israel.

US support of Israel is ONE SYMPTOM.

US support of Israel had NOTHING to do with US training and support of Islamic fundamentalists in Pakistan and Afghanistan, and then abandonment of Afghanistan to the Taliban.

US support of Israel had LITTLE or NOTHING to do with the Overthrow of Mossadegh and Installation of the Shah of Iran in 1953.

US support of Israel had LITTLE or NOTHING to do with the US support for (and organization/funding of??) the overthrow of Qassem in Iraq, and the Rise of Hussein in Iraq.

Those were and are ALL outcomes of the ROOT CAUSES of our support for Israel...

1) Cold War politics

2) Resource War politics

3) Imperialism and inheritence of the mantle of superpower/empire from the Brits and French after WWII.

If you simplify things too much, you miss the larger point.

If you miss the larger point, then you risk repeating errors.

Dean is not 100% on this, but he is closer than you.

And, if you are so down on Israel, then why do you support Kerry?
