but they did say it has a 2.3 liter engine. I think it's pretty safe to assume that it gets similar gas mileage to the standard version.
The article also mentioned Toyota's 2004 Prius which is a PZEV gas-electric hybrid which is forecast to get 55 mpg.
The Ford PZEV attains it's clean air rating with three methods.
1) It's engine was redesigned for extra clean combustion, precisely monitored by super-power engine computer.
2)Super-dense catalytic converter material with more surface area to absorb pollutants.
3)A steel fuel tank that doesn' leak fuel vapors as standard plastic tanks do.

PZEV's need California low sulfur gas for lowest emissions but run on any US gas.
