Ariel Sharon himself built those settlements where they are and he has said himself that he placed them where he did for just that purpose: To end any chance of a Palestinian state. This is the purpose of the wall that the media insists on calling a "security barrier". This has always been Israel's choice, acting as though the Palestinians had the power to change anything is mindboggling to me.
