A much better comparison would be the Latin American countries, and we know how much involvement American politicians have had there over the years - not always beneficially.

Or what about the 'special relationship' with the UK?

And no one is 'paying tribute' to Israel!!!

But actually it might not be a bad idea if America and Britain and other countries *did* pay more attention to the Scandinavian countries. They're not a bad model IMO.
