is the place you want to go to get the most accurate and up to date information on military fatalities, number of wounded, up to date news reports on Iraq, etc.

The Pentagon does indeed count all fatalities including from accidents, and illnesses, as well as soldiers that die in hospitals from their injuries. These are all listed on that site. I've seen a few soldiers listed who died several months following their injuries. They do get counted.

I strongly urge you to check out the site. It's extremely informative. They also count other coalition fatalities by nationality, as well as contractors and major incidents involving Iraqi fatalities. I check it out every day, just to keep track of things.

They also have counts of the wounded. The military used to include soldiers who got injured in accidents, but those no longer make it into the official numbers.

Check it out right here.
