Uhm, this isn't like using the wrong fork at a State Dinner or breaking wind and not saying "excuse me." We've sent several hundred thousand people to a premature death and flushed over half a trillion Treasury dollars down the toilet based on this "inappropriate" manipulation of intelligence by readily-identifiable individuals in service to political aims.

I remember how much fun the major media had with parsing what the meaning of "is" might be. Oh, the endless humor to be drawn from that bit of linguistic jousting! But doesn't the blood of so many people require a little more than tut-tutting over the propriety of governmental actions?
