I fought tooth and nail here for Howard Dean. It was a bloodsport it was mean it was nasty it was glorious! At the time the candidate bickering reached levels that made me think some posters here were to be written off entirely as complete idiots.

With time the disappointment when Howard lost faded and the animosity I had for a lot of my adversaries here at the time cooled to a whisper of the burning inferno it once was to the point that I stopped immediately discounting every post I saw from these former adversaries as something to be ignored out of hand and I once again started to listen to them.

It was my first foray into the world of democratic primary politics and it was frightening disgusting inspiring and disappointing all at the same time.

Imagine my surprise this season as I find myself on the same side of the fence as many I had grown last season to despise so strongly. How amazing is it that many of those same posters are now the ones I look for to post topics or rebuttals full of passion and informed substance.

Funny how this party can pull us so far apart at times yet when push comes to shove we are all here because at our cores we believe america is a great country and could be so much better.

So too all the people I pissed off or pissed on 4 years ago my hats off to you. You are all great Dem's despite our disagreements on who is best to carry our banner forward. I have a feeling that this time around will be no different in the end.

We are at each others throats now in many of these threads but once the dust settles and we have a candidate I know most of you will put down the candidate wars and jump right back into the fight against this blight on our country that has been the republican party the last 8 years. Till then.....
