Obama clearly meets the qualifications to be president, as established by the constitution. While his background might not be resume material, it is still a part of the fabric that shapes his character. Sure, he was a youth when he lived overseas, but he still has an ongoing and multi-generational relationship with the non-western world.

Just as important, in my opinion, is the way his presidency will restore confidence throughout the world that we aren't a nation governed by rich, white men- or by two families taking turns at holding the keys to the kingdom.

These obviously aren't the sole reasons one should support Obama, but they certainly shouldn't be discounted as irrelevant.
