We are eating our own.

I started a thread about how to deal with what I thought would be the RNC attack on a particular candidate. It was immediately hijacked by “thank God we don’t have to worry about ‘Candidate’ being nominated,” “’Candidate’ is a hypocrite” and “ ‘Other Candidate’ is God’s gift to America and if you don’t vote for Other you’re a facist.”
(exaggeration for effect)

Easily 80% of the thread responses had NOTHING to do with the OP and many were instead attacks, some simply personal, on the candidate I chose to comment on.

I have no problem with being passionate about your choice, we all should be. I do have a problem with petty personal attacks.

I’d so much appreciate comments like. “Aldo is not my choice because Fiscalini has a stronger stand on underwater basket weaving,” as opposed to, “Aldo sucks garbage and is a really bad person.”

As Democrats we are blessed with a choice of several extremely capable and attractive candidates. There are differences on issues and approaches to issues. There are reasons to choose one above the other without going negative on everybody else.

How about it, can we stop eating our own?
