6. Don't rule it out
Obama and Kennedy were at odds for a long time, too. The (supposed) enmity between Clinton and Barack is about two weeks old.

I really do think they are Democratic loyalists all. If the polling shows that they lose to the Republican individually, but win together, they will run together.

And the Republicans won't walk on pins and needles. The nominee will stay squeaky-clean and let his underlings do the dirty work.
