12. Yes but, as has been oft-mentioned here, Clinton does especially well with registered Dems...
whereas Obama does especially well in open primaries. And that means that Obama can go with a candidate that offers him more than Clinton and still rely on a huge number of those votes (maybe not all, but most loyal Democrats will suck it up and vote for Obama, whereas a lot of those indies will just stay home.) I think Obama's much better off going with someone from the South or Southwest with a ton of experience but little of the charisma that Obama has in spades. Bill Richardson's an obvious pick, though Clark might be a good bet too.
