It's perfectly OK to be wrong sometimes. It's even better to admit it, learn, and move on. But has Hillary Clinton done that? Oh hell no. In fact, she is prone to embrace that common Rethug trait of refusing to admit that your were wrong, as we have so painfully watched in the tortured rationalizations and constant mission modification of George W Bush.
Hillary Clinton, Hawk -"I think it's a little depressing on several levels that it requires a long and brilliant article to make the point, but as Michael Crowley notes in a long and brilliant article on the subject the reason Hillary Clinton voted for the Iraq authorizing resolution appears to be that she thought it was the right thing to do; it appears that she won't apologize for it because she doesn't think she was wrong; and, last, it appears that her views on both these things are connected to a larger worldview that's more militaristic than your average liberal's."

http://matthewyglesias.theatlantic.com/archives/2007/03/hillary_clinton_hawk.phpNow extrapolate this a bit. Hillary in The White House, and another stupid war launched on even flimsier evidence (maybe a late night phonecall from Hillary's AIPAC friends with an embedded directive to attack Iran? who knows), and Ms. Commander In Chief having to explain this all to the American people. What would she do? If historical patterns hold, she will pull a Bush and stick with her error, as untold numbers of Americans die and yet another innocent nation is up in flames from a decrepit, 19th century foreign policy.
Why won't Senator Clinton ever apologize for this vote....like John Edwards did? Two big reasons: Her massive ego coupled with her sense of political entitlement, and her corporate and defense industry masters won't have it.
Is this what you in the Hillary Camp want with a Hillary Clinton adminstration? I know I certainly don't. And I would bet I have almost a million dead Iraqi souls that would agree, from across the chasm of the great beyond.
