why it would matter at this point for Edwards to get more delegates?

I apologize, but my knowlege of the whole electoral college thing is not all that good. Since he has dropped out, what good does it do to vote for him?

I'm truly interested. He is my favorite candidate other than Biden, so if my vote does matter, I really want to know why.
