138. I'm not the self pitying type

Just experienced enough to know there's no reason to expend any more time, energy or expense trying to make a difference in what remains of the race.

We've been through this already with Gore in 2000 and Kerry in 2004. There are many intractable systemic flaws in Democratic politics, presidential races and media coverage at the national level. Democratic races and the people who manage them are not responsive and are often unable to see the mistakes they're making, let alone correct them. Their focus is on television ads and the 24 hour news cycle. We're at the level where there's little an individual can do to influence the outcome and any effort expended will have zero impact on how the chosen candidate governs. Their agendas will be abandoned and re-written if they win.

Unless the race between Repub or Dem tightens in the General, there's no need to do anything right now. Let it take its course and all of you true believers who are emotionally wedded to your candidates can do what you want. Leave the rest of us on the sidelines. We'll jump in to help, not if we think its needed, but only if we think it will help.
