First of all, you are forgetting about AFSCME, the teacher's unions, Emily's List, and all the dozens of other unions and organizations supporting her. She's getting tens of millions of dollars of support off the books.

But let's talk about her campaigns funds situation.

I don't think Hillary will have any fundraising problems after today. She awoke a sleeping giant. She needed to send a signal to her millions of supporters out there that some personal sacrifice was required. Whether it be $5, $25, $100, $500, whatever people can afford, there are no free rides.

She's putting her money where her mouth is and is sending a message that she's willing to put her money on the line for this campaign. It worked for Kerry in his primary battle. It'll work for Hillary.

You have to recognize that Hillary's supporters are mostly downscale democrats. Contributing to a campaign is usually far from their minds when their day to day concerns are so much more pressing but if she can get them to become engaged and contibute the smallest of amounts of money to her campaign, she'll be fine.
