before the advent of this all-consuming primary season.

This place used to be about unity and collective concern over issues facing the country. Disagreements were still prevalent back then, but we could legitimately rename this place "candidate crossfire underground" right now. And most of the points raised aren't even substantial.

I hear you about Edwards though. He had depth and so did a lot of his supporters.
