58. *Nod* Every republican I've talked to
is praying for Hillary to become the nominee because they all hate her and it will be a huge rallying cry for them. They know it would be easier for McCain to beat her. A few have confided to me that they are worried if Obama gets it, because he's so likeable, smart and a true political talent. Some have said they'd even vote for him over McCain should he win the nomination because that meants he was saavy enough to beat the 'Clinton machine' so that means he must be a genius. Sure, those might not all be the 27 percenters, but there's a great deal of the middle of the road vote who call themselves republican because 1-they are stupid and think they republican party is all about family values and tax cuts and 2-Clintons are evil. Normal people - well as normal as one could be and call themselves a repub - are saying this. Not on political sites, not on teevee, just normal everyday small private sites for parents, weather, crafts...I'll go with them before I believe anything I see on teevee.
