"Just because you are a smooth talker doesn't mean you're a policy maker."

It also does not mean you can convince the oppositon party in Congress to agree with you and vote your way.

It also does not mean that you can convince world leaders to go along with what you want. Smooth talk only goes so far.

It also does not mean that you have all the answers for this nation.

Maybe, just maybe, smooth talking is just a skill, a talent, that convinces people to go along with you when you need them to get elected. Maybe, just maybe, you might not be leading them to what is best for this country.
