Wikipedia articles include sources, which is more than can be said for the NY Observer. In this case, Obdinga's claim is sourced to a BBC story:

As an ex-journalist, I personally find Wikipedia a highly reliable source most of the time - because I can track back to original sources very easily. You guys throwing shapes about Wikipedia probably couldn't write a well-sourced article if you had a year - I notice the voices crying loudest are the ones that go in the most of for hit and run allegations and ubsubstantiated arguments.
