104. Well if I remember correctly there is very very little military in the US
to protect us were there another attack here. We've used so much of our military and resources and money in Iraq that its made us less safer and more vulnerable to attacks. Its part of the reason Obama wants to bring our troops home so they could be better served protecting us here at home.

He didn't praise Reagan, he said he was a transformative figure. I agree with what he said. Like him or not, he was able to galvanize rethugs and dems and created a working majority to get his rethug agenda passed. Obama wants to do this too although for the opposite reason, he wants to galvanize dems and rethugs in order to get his liberal agenda passed. He often works with rethugs and gives them credit if he needs to just so he can get his liberal bills passed.

Now the gay rights part b/c I know thats where your issues lie with him. The McClurkin incident was unfortunate. But I really believe he did not know McClurkin was going to go on a hate filled rant. I am a 100% supporter of gay marriage/rights. Its despicable that gays are still seen as a "minority" group that is allowed to be discriminated against. Anyway, so here is some info on Obama in regards to gay rights that you might find useful:

Barack Obama supported gay rights during his Illinois Senate tenure. He sponsored legislation in Illinois that would ban discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation.

Every two years the Human Rights Campaign, the largest national gay and lesbian organization, issues a scorecard for members of the Senate based on their sponsorship and voting on key issues of importance to gay and lesbian citizens. Barack Obama scored 89 out of 100% in the 2006 scorecard.

Barack Obama co-sponsored legislation to expand federal hate crimes laws to include crimes perpetrated because of sexual orientation and gender identity.

Employment Non-Discrimination: Barack Obama supports the Employment Non-Discrimination Act and believes it should be expanded to include sexual orientation and gender identity.

Don't Ask, Don't Tell - Gays in the Military: Barack Obama believes we need to repeal the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy and allow gays and lesbians to serve openly in the military. His campaign literature says, "The key test for military service should be patriotism, a sense of duty, and a willingness to serve."

Gay & Lesbian Adoption: Barack Obama believes gays and lesbians should have the same rights to adopt children as heterosexuals.

Barack Obama voted against a Federal Marriage Amendment and opposed the Defense of Marriage Act in 1996.

Contrast that to McCain. McCain is already on record for supporting that "anti-gay marriage initiative" voted down by the citizens of his state. He is a distasteful pig who made a joke at a rethug dinner and said Chelsea Clinton was ugly. He cheated on his first wife when she became crippled after a car accident and married his mistress later on.

Hope this helps.
