McCain is better than Bush, but still FAR worse than Obama would be. In the end, my loyalty to the ideals of the greater Democratic Party is stronger than my ego--something many Obama supporters can't say. A Dem President of *any* stripe gives a Dem Congress a lot more power, and THAT is what's truly important.

Plus I'd at least have the consolation of voting for the first African American candidate from a major party. I think he's a sleazy panderer to Southern homophobes, but McCain's a worse one, so yeah.
