7. I know - it is hard to imagine, isn't it?
but it did and has messed up a generation- my generation- pretty darn bad.
I lost friends , had one who came home & freaked out & killed his wife in front of their kids, some who are so messed up on drugs -still- from what they experienced. Can't imagine it would be less horrendous with the stuff we are hearing about in the military today.

My heart goes out to the kids over in Iraq/Afganistan fighting who are brainwashed before they even finished basic....it really is one of the saddest things....one thing to volunteer when you don't fully fathom what you are getting into but to be given no choice...and all because we are going to *liberate* Iraq...rather ironic , don't you think??

Why are we as a nation so hopped up on war & military might when there are other options....... power to the few I suppose & the rest must fall in line...with us or against us...black or white...when life is usually more grey.....

Peace
DR
