their ships in their home ports, even today. Hey, check out the local Air Base of any country and you'll see the a/c all lined up in a row. Check the Army and Marine, active, reserve and guard depots and you'll find all their equipment lined up in rows too.

Take a harbor trip through San Diego bay and see how the USN has their ships docked there, and their a/c lined up on the runway. Think they are being setup for another sneak attack? They use the same exact spots for the ships year after year after year.

The ships on 12/7/41 were in the same spots they had been assigned for years!
