Pelosi is the leader. She is responsible, not Conyers. She isn't doing nothing, she is doing a heckuva job - at just what she was elected to do. She pays some lip service to the anti-war folks to keep them at bay, and than goes to work trying to smooth things over - has everyone forgotten that Pelosi promised the same things Obama is promising now? She has been "transcending the divisiveness of the past" - reaching across the aisle, setting a new tone, being a "agent of change."

I don't know what "agents of change" are, nor what "change" means. Seems to me we have had far too much change. First, the Democratic party was completely changed, and Pelosi and Obama both represent that new Democratic party. Then radical right wingers - true "agents of change," set to work on an ambitious program of change - dismantling the country.

We have had enough change. We have lived on hope for too long. We have been too ready to believe.
