73. That's the thing--
It's not that we can say it's been exclusively aimed. They've been taking their turns at both Dems. The gaming is clearly going to be for the John McCain status quo. But there's just been such an extra startling level of toxity there.

We know they can live with McCain. He's not going to stop the war. Kill the overnite lobby lady story by breakfast? NO problem. They know the Clintons plenty, too. They're not even pretending to campaign on change.

Obama hasn't been as war friendly. And he talks too carefully. Saying he doesn't want to play Washington's game, like he might even mean a little of it. All the players with blood on their hands aren't quite sure they like that "movement" rhetoric..

To quote back again what Mike Whitney was saying, but all of it put way better than I ever could:

"The media use every soapbox in the country to preach uber-nationalism and vilify America's critics as unpatriotic. That's why the wrath of the media has descended on Obama like a Texas hailstorm; they're afraid he doesn't understand who really runs things in America."

I think he scares them. And they scare and anger me.

Peace.
