17. Obama offering Clinton help
Edited on Sat May-10-08 07:16 AM by OzarkDem
was nothing more than an attempt to allow his corporate donors to bribe her into leaving the race, just as they're buying superdelegates with promises of campaign cash for their next race.

Russert was the first to leak the strategy and Obama's "offer" followed shortly. Apparently it was an idea floated in the "back room" strategy sessions where Wall Street, the DLC and the news media are attempting to subvert the primary and choose the candidate on their own.

Given the differences between Clinton and Obama on health care reform as well as Obama's recent change of direction on the issue to "negotiate reform later" it would appear the health insurance industry is using their influence over the DLC and Obama to get Clinton out of the race.

Why do we want corporations using their money to choose our elected officials and run our government?

As for me, I'd rather have the candidate the health insurance industries DON'T want.
