Obama supporters: A bit of good news from West Virginia |
|
We're not ALL hopeless here. Check out what these Clinton supporters had to say during a rally in Eleanor, W.Va.:(Clinton supporter Angela) White said she would support Obama in November if it came to that. "I like McCain as a person, but he has too many views that take the same line as George W. Bush,'' White said.
Another one:
If Obama wins the nomination, (Clinton supporter Gary) Johngrass plans to vote for the Democrat and expects most veterans in the Clinton camp to follow suit. "I like McCain as a senator, but I think it would be another George Bush for four or eight years,'' Johngrass said.Source: http://hillaryclintonclub.com/2008/05/wva-voters-savor-moment-in-national.htmlSome of them switched BEFORE the primary:"I was very surprised," (Barbara Carroll, 73) said Sunday from Obama's downtown Charleston headquarters. "I think he's the best man. I was leaning toward Hillary. But once I met him, I changed my mind."Source: http://www.wvgazette.com/News/200805110310:toast:
