87. What most people call "Red Necks"
I call Salts...
My pops, was an old salt, knew everybody and everybody knew him.
Nary a racist bone in the man, took me out when I turned 22 and left me in the desert of Nevada for 2 days with nothing but a knife and a book of matches.
Through him I met some of the most wonderful people, of all colors.
Most of the people in our lives were, brown, black and red. But to look at his life style and how he lived, some may have called him that, and I imagine that he just smiled with a twinkle in his eyes and walked away.
It seems that we all have a preconceived notion of what a red neck is and put them all in the same box. Maybe, one day it really won't matter anymore.
