Tennessee GOP Declares Open Season on Michelle Obama

State party produces tart press release and video “welcoming” candidate spouse to Nashville.
Release says video stands in “stark contrast” to Obama’s February comments when she said for “the first time in my adult life” she was proud of her country. Read it here.
Four-minute video includes soundbites of Obama’s remarks interspersed with local Tennesseans citing historical, personal reasons of why they are proud of America. Watch it here.

Party caused controversy in late February when they issued a press release using a photo of Barack Obama in traditional Somali dress, called him “Barack Hussein Obama” and alleged he consulted with anti-Semitic advisers.
