history is that of the scam artist - he's had numerous failed ventures where he's run out on the investor's - and only "got religion" on the conservative thing when he saw he could make money off of his semi-literate membership.

There was a link to the whole story posted here at DU a few months back that brought me up to speed on the subject, but I didn't bookmark it like I should've. I'll try to find it through search and if I do I'll post the link here.
