60. I was one who was not outraged at Huck's "joke"... |
|
Let me explain... I felt that he was impulsively telling a joke that just went horribly wrong. I've done the same thing more times than I care to mention:blush: He is basically a well-meaning guy who has shwon grace and humility many times (for example he was one of Wright's most forceful defenders) The main reason that I gave him a pass though, was his immediate heartfelt and un-parsed apology.
WIth Hillary, she had made the statement or similar ones several times before- it wasn't an impulsive gaffe, it was a well-thought out part of her dialog. It seemed to me, to be indicative of her inner thoughts... very disturbing thoughts. (Now I'll agree that I have no way to know what her inner thoughts and motivations truly are, so this may not be rational on my part. I'm just explaining my thought processes here:)0 The main reason for my upset at Hillary is her anemic self-serving non-apology. She refuses to admit that she might have been wrong... and her comments today seem to indicate that she feels we are to be blamed for being upset. Sorry... not the kind of leader I want.
Plus she is a Dem, he is a Repub...
ANd I remember a whole lotta outrage on here at Huck's "joke... so much so that I was sliced a bit for speaking in his defense.
