We're talking about Senator Clinton's non apology apology again PLEASE TASE ME BRO

We are talking about Senator Clinton's non-apology/apology again and I need a distraction I can't stand it anymore.

She has committed the ultimate crime in American Politics. She is boring. She is tedious. She is completely uninteresting.

Some say that her inability to apologize comes from a deep seated insecurity.

Some say that she has to do it because she can't afford to seem weak.

Some say that she has a myopic ego that prevents her from developing a peer group that she will listen to and that President Clinton is the only one that can reach her.

Some say she is determined and tough.

I say please TASE ME BRO

Now we are talking about the syntax of the comment and the intent of the apology. We are spinning thread after thread trying to determine what she meant and whether or not she thinks it is a mistake.

This is who she is.

Clinton Gives War Critics New Answer on ’02 Vote

NYT February 18, 2007

“If the most important thing to any of you is choosing someone who did not cast that vote or has said his vote was a mistake, then there are others to choose from,” Mrs. Clinton told an audience in Dover, N.H., in a veiled reference to two rivals for the nomination, Senator Barack Obama of Illinois and former Senator John Edwards of North Carolina.

Her decision not to apologize is regarded so seriously within her campaign that some advisers believe it will be remembered as a turning point in the race: either ultimately galvanizing voters against her (if she loses the nomination), or highlighting her resolve and her willingness to buck Democratic conventional wisdom (if she wins).

At the same time, the level of Democratic anger has surprised some of her allies and advisers, and her campaign is worried about how long it will last and how much damage it might cause her.

“Some of her many advisers think she should’ve uttered the three magic words — ‘I was wrong’ — but she believes it’s self-evident that the Senate Iraq resolution was based on false intelligence and never should’ve come to a vote,” said Richard C. Holbrooke, the former United Nations ambassador and an adviser to Mrs. Clinton on foreign policy.Text

Ok Senator you dared us to choose somebody else - guess what- we did.

Well we don't have any Tasers at our house - yet, so looking around DU I found this thread http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=102x3323132#3323973.

Well if you don't have a Taser articles like this are a good substitute. Scares me a lot. Seems like the kind of thing Presidential Candidates should be arguing about.

At the same time Senator Clinton was leading us on another gaffe/non gaffe apology/non apology context/no context extravanza the BBC was reporting that Scientists are alarmed at the break up of the Arctic ice-cap.

Dramatic evidence of the break-up of the Arctic ice-cap has emerged from research during an expedition by the Canadian military.

Scientists travelling with the troops found major new fractures during an assessment of the state of giant ice shelves in Canada's far north.

The team found a network of cracks that stretched for more than 10 miles (16km) on Ward Hunt, the area's largest shelf.

The fate of the vast ice blocks is seen as a key indicator of climate change.

One of the expedition's scientists, Derek Mueller of Trent University, Ontario, told me: "I was astonished to see these new cracks.

According to another scientist on the expedition, Dr Luke Copland of the University of Ottawa, the new cracks fit into a pattern of change in the Arctic.

"We're seeing very dramatic changes; from the retreat of the glaciers, to the melting of the sea ice.

"We had 23% less (sea ice) last year than we've ever had, and what's happening to the ice shelves is part of that picture."

When ice shelves break apart, they drift offshore into the ocean as "ice islands", transforming the very geography of the coastline.

Senator Clinton's penchant for gaffe/apology/non-apology/context undestanding is no longer relevent.

It's not interesting. We have seen this act before. I didn't like it the first 8 times I saw it.

Maybe we could just let her sit in the corner and the rest of us could find something more interesting to talk about that might actually be relevent for the future of our country and succeeding generations.

In the meantime at our house and until we finally buy that Taser I have told my daughter that we have a new punishment for her when she breaks curfew.

She has to explain to me Senator Clinton's rationale for not apologizing for voting for the IWR.

She has told me that her boyfriend knows a guy who can get his hands on a Taser real cheap.
