Celebrities supporting candidates

The vast majority of celebrities are supporting John Kerry. All you hear from the GOP is that those people don't know anything about politics, too liberal, none of their business, who cares what they think, and should just shut up, etc.

But the repugs have no hesitation to haul out a few celebs of their own. (Sorry Arnuld will never be a politician - he's a front for the California recall - couldn't get Davis out without a hook to get the media time) How here comes Ron Silver and Stephen (right brother?) Baldwin.

Silver has been on MSNBC Afterhours every night posing like an expert in all things political and all things repugs and how he is an expert on all things Democratic. Just said they he just "knew" that come November a lot of Dems are going to talk one game but when it times to go into the voting booth they will be voting for Bush. Just knows it. (Silver is already worrying that his speech and support of Bush is going to hurt his career - sounds like Bush - I'm a patriot as long as I don't get hurt.)

Baldwin's claim to fame (other than being the least successful Baldwin brother), he is a born again Christian - so, of course, by default he is an expert on politics. CNN just loves to have this guy on - not sure why - think Larry King should be embarrassed.

Anyone think these guys Arnuld, Silver and Baldwin are just a one hit dog and pony show for the convention? Where have they been all these last three and half years? At least the celebs supporting the Dems have been very vocal about their views, protesting against the war, speaking out and putting their careers on the line longer than for four days at the end of the summer.

Is anybody, at any time, going to talk issues at this convention? This whole week has been politics lite. No taste, no color, no body.
