Palin warns Henrico crowd of unchecked Democratic power
--the headline in the actual paper says "Palin warns Henrico crowd of unchecked power"

"The far left wing is preparing to take over the entire federal government," she (Palin)said.

Signs in the crowd paid tribute to Palin, and to her husband, Todd. One read: "Coldest state, hottest governor." Another said "Todd for First Dude."

Another sign took aim at Obama's recent comments to "Joe the Plumber" in Ohio, that "when you spread the wealth around," it's good for everybody. The sign read: "We don't spread wealth in the commonwealth."

After the rally, Shirley Edwards of Mechanicsville was an even bigger fan of Palin.

"I love her," Edwards said. "She stands for everything we need -- jobs, gas, education, housing for people -- and I'm a plumber's mother."
