I haven't a clue as to what the report will say. Petumenos has been leak-free. This is all that's on the Anchorage Daily News website.
http://www.adn.com/palin/story/577271.htmlA report detailing whether Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin abused her power by firing public safety commissioner Walt Monegan will be released this afternoon.Anchorage attorney Timothy Petumenos, hired by the Alaska Personnel Board as an independent investigator, says he will release the report during a news conference starting at 3:30 p.m.
He said the report would cover Monegan's firing as well as a separate complaint from Anchorage activist Andree McLeod alleging that state hiring practices were circumvented for a Palin supporter.
The three-member board met earlier this afternoon and agreed to release the report.
A separate legislative panel earlier found that Palin, the Republican vice presidential nominee, abused her office by allowing her husband and other staffers to pressure the public safety commissioner to fire a state trooper who went through a nasty divorce from Palin's sister. That report was written by retired prosecutor Steve Branchflower, who was hired to investigate the matter by the Legislative Council.
Palin fired the commissioner in July but denies it had anything to do with the trooper.
