11. This is what it means when we don't capitulate.

When we had gotten to the point of saying, "Enough!", finally the straw had broken the camel's back regarding the Republicans' behavior.

For myself, I could remember the time after 9/11 when people were being critical, there would be others who would quickly quiet them down because they feared the DHS would come after them. And while they were cowering in the corner, these blowhard Superpatriots would insult, scream, threaten and lord over anything that had to do with questioning what was wrong with our nation.

The first thing out of their mouths was how much they admired Bush. The next thing was that if someone "didn't like it here, then they could leave."

And then, the entire immigration thing hit the fan. The superpatriots came out once again and screamed for this nation to be "English only" while they threated anyone with brown skin that they "didn't belong here in this land" because "they were un-American".

And then, when the Dems wanted to investigate 9/11, the Downing Street Memos and call for impeachment, what broke our backs was that impeachment was off the table. The Republicans treated the investigations with such disregard to the point of humiliating the opposition.

Well, when they started to attack Mr. Obama, finally, we stood our ground and said, "Hell no." And what Palin and McCain did during their campaign stops was atrocious. The Republicans awoke a sleeping giant.

Eight years had made us wise to their BS. And now, we were standing up to them without rolling over or playing dead.

Finally, we have crossed the Rubicon.

I just hope that we Dems take our attitude and run with it when Congress gets back into session.

No more bowing down to the blowhard superpatriots and the Republicans. Not any more.
