near the Georgia Avenue exit. Every so often, a railroad overpass near the temple is painted with the words "Surrender Dorothy". (The place really does look like Oz.) Anyway, the local news crews always send out a team to film it, it makes the evening news, and everyone has a good yuck before it's painted over in a day or so. Based on the $20,000,000 the Mormon church spent trying to force Prop 8 down the throats of Californians, don't be surprised if the message you see sometime soon on that overpass reads "Hate Lives Here." Now I would never advocate any such defacing of public property, and I would never do such a thing, and besides, I've put all my climbing gear away for the season. But I'm just sayin' ...
