... just likes the idea of them. Not the smelly, annoying and trying reality that is raising kids. Let me explain that:

(Full disclosure, I am a father of a two-year-old and we're getting by in the terrible twos, I think I can speak with some knowledge on this issue)

I've never seen any footage of her showing anything I recognized as real love and interest in her children. They seem to be porcelain props that she carts around. Particularly Trig. Who I started calling the Trig Shield. Because she seems only to hold him when she's heading into something hostile (usually the media). As if people will pull punches if Trig is there.

Disgusting to say, I know, but I've not seen her ever act like a real parent. I have, on the other hand, seen the Obama's in very parental moments (riding the bus with exausted kids on their laps, and the bumper car photos come to mind) Where were the Palin's moments of parenthood shown to us?
