4. I find this shift to a new thread troubling
There are several things wrong with making the shift

1. You do not critically evaluate why the other positions presented are unacceptable. The fact that you ask whether this pattern is significant suggests that you are already of the mind that it is so, and rejecting the other positions out of hand is ascientific, and contrary to formulating the appropriate null hypothesis. Two of us made very different arguments as to why the pattern was not compelling as to fraud.

2. The cogent mathematical criticism of TIA's position by qwg..... is marred by posts deleted by the moderator in the old thread, but enough remains to suggest that his position and argument was the robuster. The fact that he does not like TIA's approach, and questions his competence should not affect how one weighs his position one way or another. I have just as strong reservations regarding a software engineer posing as a mathematician, who then poses as a statistician. I am just not as rude.

3. Making such a shift stifles discussion. This is something similar to a practice I encounter in work, if the facts are uncomfortable, shop for someone's opinion that is ignorant of the specifics. Starting a new thread is just that. And, by dissenting, might I be subject to the same censorship as qhg...?
