I don't care who gets the Democratic nomination, not really.

I'm much more concerned about the election. About the voter roll purges and the vote caging and all the other neat tricks they will pull.

Maybe it's hard to get worked up about what could end up being theater, expensive theater.

I was talking to one of my friends that helped me and Andy through, as much as we could be helped. And we were both remembering how people didn't believe it when we said the right wing was after Andy. But they were and they did attack him, just as surely as if they'd driven a stake through his heart.

Andy was effective. And he walked right into the web of criminality that was gearing up to bring us what we now take for the status quo. With his charming smile and his humor and his intelligence and his energy and the way he could curl people right around his little finger. No wonder there was such a backlash against his wellbeing.

I really don't care who gets this nomination, not really. But I do care, very much, about this election. There may be very little I can do. But I swear on my kids' heads, if all I can do is help people verify their voter reg, I'll do THAT. If all I can do is cheerlead, I'll do THAT. Whatever. I don't even care what the task is. Cold calling media types, walking, writing, it just doesn't matter. I'll do THAT.

I'm not ready to let them steal it again. And, I'm not sure they can't.
