137. Sheffield acted like anyone else in his situation would have
A heated rivalry, past violence from both sides, fans in other leagues throwing down with players, a violent world in general. Sheffield feels what he thinks is a punch, he reacts with a defensive swipe, continues the play and, once realizing what happened--and what could happen--appropriately restrains himself, as did the fan. Fan gets kicked out--as he should for interference--and the game continues. End of story.
