alot of landlords don't object to greyhounds... A daughter of acquaintance of ours returned to school and was going to live in a dorm, she wanted to take her greyhound with her but was unsure if the school would allow it

at first the school said NO - but when they found out it was a greyhound they said "OK"

the reason is greyhounds are not usually big barkers, they are quiet and well behaved, friendly

suggestion: if you do decided on getting a dog and then have to move to another apartment -- take the dog with you when you go look at the apartment -- sometimes if a landlord meets the dog the objection over dogs disappears-- especially if the dog is well mannered
