About the same time period, also. Mine was so realistic, that I was absolutely certain it was happening at the time. It was in the early spring, around March, very early in the morning (around 3:00 am, maybe 4).
I was sleeping in the living room in a sleeping bag (we had company). Suddenly, I could hear the splashing of water. It wasn't too loud.....but it was definitely seeping in through the sliding glass door. I sat up, rubbed my eyes.
I stood up and tried to understand what was happening. I looked down, and saw dirty brown, ice-cold water seeping in. I recall leaning down, and scooping up a handful of water. I tasted it. It tasted salt. That's when I knew that there had been a tsunami, and this was ocean water.
This dream was unique in my experience. I'd never experienced anything like it. Ordinary dreams are....well, ordinary. I can dream a million different soap-opera scenarios, and I'll wake up refreshed and forget about it. This one was not like that.
