14. Totally agree
What's weird is I can't picture their RW equivalents criticizing Bush, DeLay, or Frist. Only when a Republican challenges the RW do they get any attacks.

It like they won't forgive Kerry for losing, even though he clearing gave it his all. It's easy in retrospect to criticize him (or his campaign) for not responding fast enough on the swift boat slimers or the flip flop charge. What they ignore was the deck was stacked against him and while talking almost constantly for most of a year, he made almost no gaffes. Kerry, Teresa, the Edwards, and their extended families did everything they could.

On one thread (with a nice person, who felt Kerry didn't go after Bush enough), I argued that a traumatized America would not have gone with Kerry if he spoke about the evils of the Bush family. I think there was a good reason he didn't take credit for the Contra/drug investigation. Reagan had just died and the press had nearly called for his canonization. No country wants to accept that evil was done in its name. For Kerry, who was in a competitive race to have tried to win on this basis would have been absolutely stupid.
Some of the things Rhodes says Kerry should have done were in this vein. I find it annoying that she compares what she does (bringing up semi researched charges) as what the campaign should have done.
