No one in the entire Democratic party has said that Kerry lost because he was acting like a wild unhinged lunatic. In fact, some of the suggestions were he should have moved slightly in that direction,

Their problem is they are unlikely to find even 30 seconds of tape from the entire campaign or afterwords, that make Kerry look other than thoughtful and rational. His ability to be well mannered and polite while bitterly criticizing from his heart things that are genuinely wrong has been a skill he's had for a long time.
